Afrobeat sensation Omah Lay’s deluxe album, “Boy Alone,” has achieved an impressive milestone by surpassing 530 million streams on Spotify. According to Wetalksounds, this accomplishment has propelled Omah Lay to the ninth position among Nigerian artists who have collectively garnered over a billion streams on the platform.

Known for his Afrobeat style, Omah Lay’s music resonates with listeners due to its relatability, delving into his personal experiences. This genuine expression has been labeled as Afrodepression, not because of the melancholic nature of the songs but because of their authentic exploration of emotions and real-life struggles.

The deluxe edition of the ‘Boy Alone‘ album, released in 2022, features 20 tracks filled with soulful melodies.

This achievement on Spotify reflects the widespread appreciation for Omah Lay’s music and the impact of his genuine artistic expression.
