Nigerian artist Portable has revealed details about the events that led to a physical altercation resulting in alterations to his facial features. Reports indicate that the singer was attacked at his home by a group of people, alleging that he had received payment for a performance but did not follow through with his commitment.
According to Portable, he collaborated with a group, supposedly from America, on a music project and was paid 2.5 million naira for his contribution. However, tensions arose when he attempted to leave after completing the project, with the group demanding their money back and claiming he had been paid too much.
The incident occurred at Portable’s residence, where unexpected visitors confronted the artist. A video shared on his Instagram story captured the heated argument, with Portable questioning why he was being attacked.
Subsequent videos showed the aftermath of the fight, displaying Portable’s visibly swollen face. He also shared a medical report indicating the severity of his injuries and expressing his intention to seek medical attention.
In a post on his Instagram story on January 21, 2024, Portable expressed gratitude for being protected by a higher power and emphasized his resilience despite the recent ordeal.
In his words, he stated, “Omo ologo surrendered by my enemies. Na God dey cover me ZAZUU. This people really do me bad but Thank God say man no be God. Am in pain on my way to the hospital.”
