Sarz reveals how he got Asake and Gunna on happiness
Nigerian music producer Sarz has shared the backstory of the collaboration with Asake and American rapper Gunna on the track “Happiness.” Speaking in an interview with Billboard’s Catrise J, Sarz revealed that he initially sent the record to Gunna, who quickly embraced it, recognizing the perfect blend of hip-hop, afrobeats, and funk pop.
Prior to the release of “Happiness,” Sarz expressed his intention to go beyond creating just a song, aiming to produce a “symphony of joy that transcends borders.” The collaboration is characterized as a celebration of unity, cultural diversity, and the universal language of happiness.

The music video for the song, which is currently accessible on all major streaming services, was directed by Edgar Esteves, who has previously worked with singers such as French Montana and Nicki Minaj. The video is presently number 13 on the list of hot music on YouTube, with over 3.2 million views.
