Taylor Swift breaks Guinness World Record for highest-grossing tour of all time
American singer Taylor Swift’s ‘Eras’ tour has achieved the remarkable feat of breaking the Guinness World Record for the highest-grossing music tour in history. Guinness World Records officially confirmed this achievement on their website.
The ‘Eras‘ tour, which commenced in March 2023 and is scheduled to conclude in December of the following year after 151 shows, has surpassed the $1 billion mark, becoming the first tour to achieve this milestone.
According to Pollstar, the tour has already earned $1.04 billion, with 4.3 million tickets sold. Projections suggest that the total earnings may reach around $2 billion when the tour concludes.
Merchandise sales have also significantly contributed to this record-breaking achievement, generating $200 million in revenue alone. Taylor Swift’s ‘Eras‘ tour has surpassed Elton John’s Farewell tour, which concluded this year and earned $939 million over 328 shows.
In addition to this achievement, Taylor Swift recently set another Guinness World Record as the first musician to become a billionaire solely on music earnings. Her remarkable success continues to solidify her status as one of the most influential and commercially successful artists in the music industry.
