Black Sherif expresses desire to return to school to pursue fashion.
B.E.T. award-winning artist and the current VGMA “Artiste of the Year,” Black Sherif, has revealed his plan to return to school to study fashion.
In a tweet, he announced his intention to pursue clothing design after the release of his upcoming album.
“Need to get this album out and go back to school to learn how to make clothes,” he wrote.
While fans expressed enthusiasm for Black Sherif’s decision to study fashion, the anticipation for his upcoming album took center stage. The artist rose to fame in 2021 with the release of ‘First Sermon‘ in May, followed by ‘Second Sermon’ in July, which later featured a remix with Grammy-winning Nigerian artist Burna Boy.
Black Sherif’s unique style in the Ghanaian music scene has garnered attention. Despite some criticism of his fashion sense, many view his style as simple, stylish, and evocative, mirroring the depth and diversity of his musical talent.

In other news, Black Sherif has provided insights into his fashion choices, revealing an unexpected source for his wardrobe: the lively second-hand clothing market locally known as “Kanta” or “foose.”
In an interview on Nana Ama McBrown’s Onua Showtime, Black Sherif opened up about his fashion journey and credited his friends in Kantamanto, a bustling second-hand clothing market, for curating the distinctive outfits that contribute to his signature look.
“I work with my boys in Kanta, my boys who sell clothes are in Kantamanto, and they make the best selection for me. My boys Kijo and Co,” Black Sheriff revealed, highlighting the collaborative effort involved in selecting his outfits.
