Nigerian artist Omoniyi Temidayo Raphael, also known as Zlatan, expresses sorrow over the loss of his friend Oladips, who passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2023.

On his Instagram story, the singer shared his grief through a series of posts. He posted a throwback picture of the two of them from before they achieved fame, mentioning that words fail to capture the depth of his emotions.

Zlatan revealed that he had hoped for a better outcome in Oladips’s battle with illness, but unfortunately, that hope did not materialize.

He said, “Words fail me. Cried all night and prayed to GOD that I hear good news this morning. Here I am, and I’m never going to see my friend again.”

Zlatan additionally shared a clip from an old video shoot featuring both of them and a screenshot of their final Instagram conversation. In this exchange, Oladips expressed feeling unwell. Poignantly, this conversation occurred just a day before the rapper’s untimely passing.

The Nigerian entertainment community was plunged into sorrow once more with the announcement of Oladips’s demise. The rapper’s official social media accounts, managed by his team, relayed the heartbreaking news. According to the statement, Oladips succumbed to a two-year struggle with an undisclosed illness.

Prior to his passing, Oladips’s fans were alarmed by his Instagram posts on the night of Tuesday, November 14, 2023.

In these posts, he expressed distress about being left alone at home, particularly given his condition. In a plea, he urgently called on his friend to come home and transport him to the hospital. The posts generated concern and heightened emotions among his followers as they witnessed his apparent urgency and distress.

In a sad turn of events, his friend announced that he had collapsed and was rushed to the hospital that same night. After that, the rapper tweeted that he was not feeling well, and sadly, that became his last tweet.
