Wizkid receives five new platinum certifications in South Africa.
Nigerian superstar Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, known professionally as Wizkid, has once again demonstrated his dominance and significance in the world of Afrobeats, as it has been confirmed that he has been awarded a total of five new platinum certifications in South Africa for his music.
These certifications recognize the success of songs from one of his most significant projects, “Made in Lagos.”
Notably, “Essence” has received its seventh platinum certification, while his collaboration with Burna Boy on “Ginger” has achieved double platinum status. Additionally, “No Stress,” “Longtime,” featuring Skepta, and “True Love” have each received their first platinum certifications.
This is not the only set of certifications Wizkid has received recently; he had earlier received three new certifications from Belgium.
Fans are eagerly anticipating what Wizkid has in store as we approach the final months of 2023. The artist is known for his delightful surprises, and it’s likely that he has something special planned for his fans in the near future.
