Shallipopi disocloses his geners of music.
Fast-rising Nigerian singer Crown Uzama, who goes by the stage name Shallipopi, has identified his musical genre as Afro-Pluto. The 23-year-old artist gained recognition with his breakout single “Elon Musk” and made this declaration in a recent interview on Factory 78.
This highlights his unique style and approach to music, which he categorizes as Afro-Pluto.
‘My sound is called Afro-Pluto,’ said Shallipopi. ‘Everything is about Pluto, not straight-up Hiphop, not straight-up Afrobeats, not straight-up Afro-pop. Just Afro-Pluto.’
Shallipopi explained that his style of music, Afro-Pluto, primarily involves talking rather than singing. He further asserted that no one else is creating this type of music except for him. This distinction highlights the uniqueness of his approach to music, emphasizing spoken elements over traditional singing.
‘My music is not more of singing, is more of talking, but singing– and there is nobody that does that except me.’

Shallipopi wrote; “Big shoutout to Zlatan Ibile. Bro literally gave my career life. He didn’t ask for anything in return.”
