Zlatan gave my career life – Shallipopi.
Nigerian artist, Crown Uzama, popularly known as Shallipopi, has acknowledged the important contribution that rapper Zlatan Ibile made to his success.
The singer of “Elon Musk” claimed that Zlatan gave his music career “life” without ever receiving anything.
He rose to fame online after his song “Elon Musk” went viral. Later, he remixed the song with Fireboy DML and Zlatan Ibile, solidifying his popularity.
The 23-year-old TikTok star revealed this in his Instagram story while giving the singer of the song “Lagos Anthem” a shoutout.
Shallipopi wrote; “Big shoutout to Zlatan Ibile. Bro literally gave my career life. He didn’t ask for anything in return.”
Recall, Shallipopi is on the brink of unveiling a fresh track featuring the renowned Afrobeat sensation, Davido. A video circulating online showcases the two artists collaboratively performing the catchy tune.
Shallipopi’s name has been on everyone’s lips since the release of his popular song Ex-Convict.
This single follows in the footsteps of its more successful older sibling, Elon Musk. Planet Pluto, his debut EP, was a modest success. This is most likely because several of the tracks sound similar in the opening few seconds.
Nonetheless, Elon Musk and Ex-Convict have both gained not only fame but also support from some of the biggest names in music.
Shallipopi has added another celebrity to his list of supporters after obtaining cosigns from juggernauts such as Wizkid and Alex Iwobi. The OBO himself, Davido has hopped on what seems to be a remix to the ‘Ex Convict’ song.
