Tems extends her position as the most certified Nigerian female musician in the United States.
With the most recent RIAA certification, Nigerian award-winning artist Temilade Openiyi, known professionally as Tems, has continues to expand her lead as the most RIAA-certified female artist from Nigeria in the US.
Tems‘ record as the most certified Nigerian female artist in the United States of America has been extended as a result of the RIAA’s confirmation of two further certifications for the singer. She now has four certifications in the US, which is the most of any female musician from the nation. The two recent additions increase her total to four.
The viral song Free Mind has also been certified Platinum in the country after selling over 1,000,000 sales in the United States of America, while Tem’s tune Higher off her Leading Vibe EP has also been certified gold after selling over 500,000 units in the US alone.
The singer’s manager, Muyiwa Awoniyi, expressed his joy in reaction to this accomplishment on his social networking site X, writing, “Thank you Lord Free Mind Platinum, Higher Gold. Cheers to more la Familia @temsbaby @ShowDemCamp#TheLeadingVibe”
