Ange Postecoglou named Premier League Manager of the Month for August 2023.
Ange Postecoglou, the head coach of Tottenham Hotspur, has been named the Premier League Manager of the Month for August 2023.
The 58-year-old made a successful transition to life in north London after joining Spurs from Celtic in June as the team’s permanent replacement for Antonio Conte.
Postecoglou’s Tottenham team sailed through August unbeaten despite losing all-time leading scorer Harry Kane to Bayern Munich the day before the start of their Premier League season.
The team started the campaign with a respectable 2-2 draw against Brentford before picking up their first victory against Manchester United at home, defeating the Red Devils 2-0.
Tottenham then finished August with a 2-0 win at Bournemouth. They are now second in the Premier League table after a 5-2 win against Burnley ahead to the September international break.
Due to his charm and the team’s refreshing aggressive style of play, Postecoglou, the first Greek and first Australian manager in the Premier League has been an instant fan favorite at Tottenham.
They return to action at home on Saturday against Sheffield United before travelling to north London rivals Arsenal the following Sunday.
