Why people didn’t like my music at first – BNXN.
Nigerian Afro-fusion act, Daniel Benson, better known by his stage name BNXN and formerly known as Buju, has said that he first grappled with the challenge of music fans not being interested in his songs.
He claimed that at the beginning of his career, people weren’t listening to his music since it had an unfamiliar tone.
The artiste, however, said he had to give people time for them to start listening to and enjoying his style of music.
The ‘Pray’ crooner also admitted that it was difficult for him to single out one of his international performances as being his best.
BNXN who was speaking in an interview, said; “At first, the challenge was getting people to listen to me. When something is different from the norm, it might take a little time for people to adjust to it. However, there are some people who enjoy and appreciate it before everyone else come on board.
“There have been a lot (of memorable moments) from performing with Wizkid at the O2 events centre in London, to being on the bill at massive festivals in places like Brussels (Germany), Portugal and Paris (France). There have been many memorable events, and I look forward to creating more amazing memories.”
