Nacho renews his Real Madrid contract until 2024.
Nacho Fernandez has signed a new contract with Real Madrid that will last through 2023, the club has confirmed.
Los Blancos wanted to make sure that there were no questions regarding his future in the 2021/22 season, so they extended his contract by one year.
Nacho made his debut for Real Madrid in April 2011 under Jose Mourinho in a convincing 6-3 victory against Valencia at Mestalla. Nacho joined Real Madrid’s academy 20 years ago and just marked ten years as a first-team player at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.

Nacho has since played 233 games for Real Madrid, in addition to 111 for Castilla, with whom he achieved promotion to the Segunda Division in the 2011/12 season.
The four Champions League trophies won by Los Blancos between 2014 and 2018 are among the 31-year-old’s first-team accolades. He has appeared in 44 games in Europe’s top club league.
Nacho made 33 appearances under Zinedine Zidane last season, making an impression in the latter half of the season with Eder Militao or Raphael Varane at centre-back.
This extension moves Nacho one step closer to realizing his aim of retiring as a one-club guy, a distinction held by no other Real Madrid player.

Other La Fabrica graduates, like Dani Carvajal and Lucas Vazquez, had brief stints at other teams before returning to Los Merengues.
That is not the case for Nacho, who has made his first-team debut 10 years ago and has only ever worn a Real Madrid jersey.
Nacho has a total of 22 appearances for Spain, although his omission from La Roja’s roster for Euro 2020 left many perplexed given his stellar play in the second part of the 2020–21 season.
