    • Billionaire Bill Gates Sparks Debate On The Popularity Of Wizkid, Davido & Burna Boy.

Bill Gates Speaks On The Popularity Of Afrobeat, Wizkid, Davido, & Burna Boy
Bill Gates Speaks On The Popularity Of Afrobeat, Wizkid, Davido, & Burna Boy

Bill Gates, the billionaire and founder of Microsoft, who is currently in Nigeria following the inauguration of Nigeria’s president, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, shared his thoughts on afrobeats, mentioning the popularity of Africa’s biggest stars, Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy.

The billionaire disclosed that his daughter had expressed excitement when she learned of his trip to Nigeria and mentioned that he would get to see some of the top stars, like Burna Boy and Rema.

The billionaire said he was unaware of the two talents because Davido and Wizkid had previously dominated the Nigerian music scene when he had last visited.

    He said:
You’re lucky because you get to see Burna Boy and Rema, so I had to look them up…because I’m so ‘hip’. But I remember the last time I was here, I got to see Davido & Wizkid perform.

Social media users have reacted in a variety of ways to this revelation since many felt that it added additional context to the ongoing argument about new and old cats.

Here are some of the reactions below:

Davido vindicated ! Bill Gates settles the cats arguments.

Davido & Wizkid = Big cats

Burna boy & Rema = New cats

    Case closed. https://t.co/CVaSdnMUs4

Bill Gates basically said (without shades) that Burna Boy and Afro beats are not widely known and have to be looked up on Google when mentioned, unlike Davido and Wizkid who are readily known and acknowledged worldwide.

A rich Cat describing new cat and old cat. Crazy 😪

What Bill Gates said about Burna Boy, Davido, Rema, and Wizkid will bring back new cats and old cats rogbodiyan again.

    — Uncle AJ (@UNCLE_AJALA) June 21, 2023

Bill Gates said the last time in Nigeria some years ago, he watched Davido & Wizkid cos they were the trending musicians then.

But now, his children asked him to meet Burna Boy & Rema.

From the above, we can deduce the new & old cats from one of the Billionaires in the world.
