‘I didn’t expect it’ – BNXN on winning Headies award, Bentley.
Nigerian Afro-Fusion artist Daniel Benson, known professionally as Bnxn and formerly known as Buju, has spoken about him winning the 2022 Headies Next Rated award.
The ‘Pray’ crooner outsmarted industry rival, Ruger and others to win the prestigious award and walked home with a brand new Bentley BENTAYGA SUV star prize.
The singer stated this in a recent interview with Hip TV. revealing that he was shocked when he was announced as the winner of the 2022 Headies Next Rated award.
BNXN said, “I was really stunned [winning a Bentley], mainly because I wasn’t expecting it. I thought it would take me a longer time to get a Bentley. I just got a car before that award show because I didn’t want to be pressured by losing the car [Bentley] or not. So, I had to buy another car separately to compensate myself.
“But when I won I was really stunned. Even when they shipped it and brought it to Lagos, it was another, ‘Wow! It’s right here.’
I was really excited.”
