Ayra Starr announces the cancellation of her US shows as she is put on bed rest.
Nigerian singer Sarah Aderibigbe, also known as Ayra Starr, has postponed all of her US shows after being put on immediate bed rest due to an undisclosed illness.
Along with ASAP Rocky, Busta Rhymes, and a host of other well-known performers, Ayra Starr was also supposed to perform at the “Something In The Water Concert” in Virginia City.
The singer posted a note on her Instagram story on Sunday night informing followers of her doctor’s recommendation for immediate bed rest.
The Mavin singer also expressed her regret to her fans for missing her highly awaited performance and pledged to make a huge comeback.
The statement read;
DC, VA & Houston your girl is going through it. My doctor has advised I slow down, hence I’m on immediate bed rest.
So sorry I couldn’t meet every one of you as planned. I’m also sorry you feel let down but I promise to be back in a special way for you when we’ll have a magical time.
I appreciate your prayers and well wishes #styvesdc #somethinginthewater #industryniteusa.
In the meantime, Ayra Starr revealed that when she was barely 14 years old, her math teacher predicted she would pursue a career in music.
She claimed that her Muslim teacher was impressed by her curiosity and love of music when she brought up this topic on the most recent episode of “Afrobeats Intelligence” with Joey Akan.
According to Ayra Starr, the instructor inspired her to join the choir and get better at singing.
She claims he explicitly guaranteed she would sign with Mavin, where she now is, and he also urged her to post her videos online for others to watch.
