Swae Lee Speaks On Wizkid’s Unused Verse On French Montana’s ‘Unforgettable’.
Swae Lee has spoken out about the fact that Wizkid contributed a verse to the unreleased remix of the massively popular song “Unforgettable” by Moroccan-American rapper French Montana.
The song’s original version, which featured only Swae and French, was released in 2017, and the music video was shot in Uganda.
Surprisingly, the 2017 smash hit, which had an Afrobeats vibe and its video shot in Africa, did not have any African acts.
In an interview that has gone viral on the internet, Swae Lee revealed that rapper French Montana did not release the song’s version with Afrobeats superstar Wizkid on it.
The former Rae Sremmurd member claimed that Big Wiz’s strong delivery of his verse made the remix with him stand out.
Speaking on why Wizkid’s version wasn’t released, Swae Lee remarked that while it would have been one of the biggest songs, they could not place it the way he intended, so it was left unfinished.

In the meantime, another American singer, Alicia Keys recently discussed the possibility of collaborating with prominent Afrobeat superstar, Wizkid.
In an interview, Alicia discussed working with the Made in Lagos singer, which sparked discussion online.
The worldwide R&B singer was ecstatic about her cooperation with the Nigerian superstar.
“We actually vibed on some stuff, and it was dope. I think that’s one thing that is so incredible about music. Whenever music cross-pollinates and starts to blow in the wind, it comes all around and be influenced by different sounds…. When that happens, I feel like the greatest music happened,” she said in part.
