Simi made a suggestion that the street-hop musician Portable should be praised for his constant attempts to remain relevant.

On Thursday, she said on her Twitter page that she realized that he deserved his flowers and that he should be applauded for his actions.

Her remark comes after Portable released the song “I am not a prisoner” to commemorate how little time he spent behind bars after being charged with assaulting police officers.

Immediately after releasing the single, which is already receiving a tonne of internet attention, the founder of Zeh Nation also shot a music video as a follow-up.

In the meantime, it was previously reported that Portable, real name Habeeb Okikiola, was taken on Monday after being arraigned to the Ilaro Correctional Facility in Yewa South Local Government Area of Ogun State.

At the court, which was presided over by the chief magistrate, A.S. Shoneye, he was charged with five offences that had assault-related elements.

Nonetheless, Portable entered a not-guilty plea to the accusations.

The presiding judge declared that the offences are bailable and granted him bail with a bail bond of N300,000 and N500,000 as well as two sureties who had to live within the court’s territorial jurisdiction.

The hearing on the case was postponed until April 26.

After perfecting his bail conditions, Portable was released and one of the things he did was to share his prison experience in a song titled ‘Federal Government Liability’.

In a snippet of the song he shared on Instagram, Portable bragged that he didn’t wear a prison uniform while at the correctional centre.
