Mr Eazi has dominated global headlines and made history by being the first Nigerian performer to win a Latin Grammy, after earning nominations in four categories at the 21st edition of the annual Latin Grammy awards.

The nominations and win are for his contributions to J Balvin’s and Bad Bunny’s albums.

Mr Eazi was a featured artist on the J Balvin song “Arcoris” from the album “Colores,” which took home the award for “Best Urban Album,” as well as “Oasis” from the J Balvin x Bad Bunny album, which won the same award.

Mr Eazi’s contributions to “Oasis” and “Colores” received widespread praise for their genre-defying sound and avant-garde treatment of Latin music.

The featured songs, “COMO UN BEBÉ” and “Acoiris,” which have amassed over 198 and 54 million listens, respectively, on Spotify alone, have contributed to giving the projects a new angle.

He has now formally been awarded the following certificates: featured artist on J. Balvin and Bad Bunny’s “Oasis” for “Album of the Year” 2020; featured artist on “Oasis” by J. Balvin and Bad Bunny for “Best Urban Album” 2020; composer on “Colores” for “Album of the Year” 2020; and featured artist on “Colores” by J. Balvin for “Best Urban Album” (Winner) 2020.

Mr Eazi’s success in the Latin music scene is a testament to his talent and devotion to breaking down barriers by producing a truly global sound, as seen by this award.
