Nigerian award-winning artist, Davido discusses how the loss of people who were important to him inspired track 16 of his “Timeless” album, which he dedicated to them.
Davido, who launched his album Timeless today, March 31, spoke in an interview with Beat FM about losing people dear to him and how the song depicts their presence still in his life.
Recall, On October 31, 2023, the artist lost his first child, Ifeanyi Adeleke. He stated that the song on his album, Legends Can Never Die, LCND, was dedicated to those he had lost when questioned about it.

From losing his mother when he was ten years old to his closest friend, bodyguard, and lastly his kid. “Legends Can Never Die” was written as a result of the singer’s admission that even though they are no longer with him physically, he still feels their spiritual presence.
He also said the song is for everyone out there who has lost one or two close people. Davido also shared that the song is the oldest on the album, and was recorded 2 years ago in Los Angeles.
He said that everyone who has lost one or two close friends should listen to the song. The DMW boss made it known that the song is the oldest on the album, having been recorded two years ago in Los Angeles.
