Davido shares why he was unable to include Mayorkun, Fridayy, others on “Timeless Album.”
Nigerian singer, Davido has opened up on the artists who were supposed to be on the “Timeless” album but didn’t make the final cut.
The singer in an interview with Beat Fm opened up on the project the creative process and the challenges he faced trying to put it together.
During the interview, the interviewer asked him about the artists who didn’t make the cut.
“Who did you work with on this project but they didn’t make the cut,?” the interviewer asked.
Davido stated that they were many and some were in even his dm expressing their anticipation for the project only for him to disappoint them with the news of them not making the cut.
He also stated that some of the collaborations couldn’t make it to the project due to paperwork and other reasons.
OBO revealed that he and “God Did” crooner, Fridayy collaborated on a song but it make the cut due to lack of clearance.
He explained that the song they collaborated on sampled a Drake’s track and while Drake himself cleared it, the remaining persons who were supposed to give their permission didn’t do so on time.
He said that the song might be on the deluxe edition of the project.
The DMW Label CEO disclosed that Mayorkun was initially supposed to be on the album but he had issues with one of the writers of the song.

He also mentioned that American artists Capella Grey and Blxst are some of the artists who didn’t make the cut.
Davido disclosed that he and Kizz Daniel have a record that they didn’t deliberately put on the album as they will release it when they were ready to drop their joint project.
