Cristiano Ronaldo has gotten over 15 million Instagram followers in the last 30 days, while Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe have been losing them.
With 564 million fans on the Meta-owned social network, the Portuguese superstar has the most followers. Despite playing for Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia and being a five-time Ballon d’Or winner, Ronaldo’s star is still rising.
He did not gain the most followers on Instagram over the course of the last month, with Lottery Texts revealing that said honour goes to American singer/actress Selena Gomez, but the 38-year-old’s global appeal cannot be ignored.

While Ronaldo’s brand continues to grow, eternal rival Messi has seen his numbers on Instagram dip by over 570,000 in the last 30 days.
The World Cup-winning Argentina is now seated on 443 million followers, which is said to have been caused in part by his problems at Paris Saint-Germain, where worries about his future in France are being raised.
Mbappe, Messi’s PSG teammate, lost over 250,000 followers, bringing his total to 101 million, but he could see an increase in popularity over the next years as he works to establish himself as the obvious successor to Messi and Ronaldo as the world’s finest footballer.
