Fulham’s coach Silva and striker Mitrovic charged over Manchester United FA Cup incidents.
The Football Association stated that the customary punishment for Aleksandar Mitrovic’s expulsion during Fulham’s 3-1 FA Cup quarterfinal loss to Manchester United would be “obviously insufficient,” and he now faces a lengthy suspension.
Marco Silva, the head coach of Fulham, was also charged by the FA on Monday.
As a result of a VAR review, Willian of Fulham was sent off for touching the ball in the box during the second half of the match on Sunday.
Coach Silva confronted the fourth official fiercely during a tumultuous few minutes before being given a red card.
Mitrovic, a Serbian attacker, was also dismissed after arguing with referee Chris Kavanagh and pushing him with his shoulder.

“It’s alleged that Marco Silva used abusive and/or insulting words, and/or gestures and/or behaviours towards the fourth official prior to his dismissal and… after being sent off,” the FA said in a statement.
“It’s further alleged that in throwing a water bottle in the direction of the assistant referee his behaviour was improper.”
The FA also said that Mitrovic’s behaviour after the sending off was insulting and threatening.
“The standard punishment which would otherwise apply to Aleksander Mitrovic for the sending off offence of violent conduct that he committed towards the match referee is clearly insufficient.”
The governing body also stated that Fulham failed to ensure that its players would act appropriately, and it has not yet made an announcement regarding the penalties that will be imposed.
