Chelsea prepare for further Mason Mount contract discussions amid rival interest.
Mason Mount and Chelsea will talk further about a new deal, according to reports, as the Blues are still keen to retain the academy graduate.
Chelsea and Mount’s negotiations have stalled recently, and as the midfielder’s contract nears its end, the Blues are reluctantly prepared to consider bids this summer if they are unable to reach a deal.
Mount has a new agent, Neil Fewings, who is informed and acts more as a counsellor to the England international since the most recent round of discussions. Yet it offers a fresh dynamic for the following round of discussions.
A deal between Mount and Chelsea is still a long way off and far from definite, but it’s crucial to note that neither party has given up on negotiations as of yet.
Mount is a highly significant player for Chelsea and co-owner Todd Boehly since he is a homegrown player and an England international. Yet, Blues officials have made it obvious that if he does not renew, he will be moved this summer.

Liverpool is rumoured to be particularly interested in any developments about Mount’s future, and several Premier League competitors are keeping an eye on him.
The Reds feel that if Mount does leave Chelsea this summer, he would want to transfer to Anfield, despite interest from Manchester City, Manchester United, and Newcastle.
As Chelsea manager Graham Potter questioned England’s choice to recall the injured midfielder, Mount presently finds himself in the spotlight.
After missing Chelsea’s past four games due to injury, the 24-year-old was still selected by Gareth Southgate, who left fellow Blues winger Raheem Sterling off the roster due to his own fitness concerns.
