Andre Vibez opens up on how Rema came up with “Calm Down”
Andre Vibez, the producer of the hit song, “Calm Down” has revealed how he and Rema came up with the song.
The singer speaking during an interview on the Podcast, Osikoya Speaks said that Rema visited him in the studio where he played various beats including that of “Calm Down“.
He said that Rema kept choosing different beats before he settled on “Calm Down“.
Andre disclosed that during the recording session, Rema would find solace at corners in the studio where he would come up with his melodies for the song.
The producer stated that when Rema came up with a certain part of the chorus, he was stunned by the creativity.
“I remember he will go to one corner and sit there and squat and just hum like melodies and then stand up and then put in the words, and then record that part..”

In another portion of the interview, Andre Vibez opens up on recreating an iconic picture of his later father, Sir Victor Uwaifo holding his Golden record.
Andre said that he didn’t deliberately recreate the picture but was just taking a picture of himself holding his won plaque.
The talented beatsmith disclosed that he has earned over 25 plaques off “Calm Down” alone.
