J-Hope of BTS has set a new record on the Nigeria music charts with his latest release ‘On The Street‘ which features American rapper J. Cole.

One of the seven singers and dancers that make up the biggest boy band in the world, BTS, J-Hope, has broken a record with his most recent single, “On The Street,” which includes Grammy Award–winning rapper J Cole.

The most plays of any song by a Korean artist were received by J-Hope’s ‘On The Street‘ which debuted on the Spotify Top Songs Nigeria (Daily) list with over 11,000 streams on the first day of tracking.

With his FIFA 2022 World Cup theme song, J Hope surpassed the previous record, which was held by another BTS member and vocalist, Jungkook.

On The Street, which was released on March 3rd, 2023, peaked at number 12 on the Spotify World Top Tracks Daily list with more than 3.2 million filtered plays.

On the second day of tracking, the song also received over 8,000 streams in Nigeria alone. The success of BTS and its individual members in Nigeria cannot be overstated, as seen by the persistence of its songs in the country’s top Spotify and Apple Music charts.
