Nigerian superstar Divine Ikubor, professionally known by his stage name Rema, has continued his ascension on the Billboard Hot 100, with his popular tune “Calm Down” hitting a new peak.
Rema’s song “Calm Down” has earned more than 10 certifications since its release in 2022, making the assertion that it is a global hit hardly appear overdone.
The song “Calm Down” was the most streamed afrobeat song of 2022, and its music video has amassed more views than any other afrobeats video in history.
Making history, Rema’s ‘Calm Down‘ becomes the second-highest charting Afrobeats song on Billboard Hot 100.
February 23rd, 2023, Chart Week Rema’s “Calm Down” remix featuring Selena Gomez climbs two spots to No. 25 on this week’s Billboard Hot 100, up from No. 27 the last week.

‘Calm Down‘ enters its 27th week on the chart while also becoming the second highest charting Afrobeats song after Wizkid’s ‘Essence‘ which peaked at NO. 9 following the huge success of the Justin Bieber remix.
Tems remains on the list thanks to Future’s ‘Wait For U,’ which maintains its No. 36 position while extending its chart run to 39 weeks.
US Afrobeats Songs Chart: The top 10 of the Afrobeats chart saw little changes this week.
As it enters its 48th week on the list, Rema’s “Calm Down” remix extends its reign atop the charts to 25 weeks.
The second place goes to Libianca’s “People,” Tems‘ “Higher” continues at No. 3, Ayra Starr’s “Rush” stays at No. 4, and Wizkid’s “Essence” climbs to No. 5.
Burna Boy’s ‘Last Last‘ drops to NO. 6, CKay’s ‘Love Nwantiti‘ moves up to NO. 7, while ‘Alone‘ drops to NO. 8. Fireboy’s ‘Peru‘ and Oxlade’s ‘Kulosa‘ retains the 9th and 10th spot respectively.
This week’s debuts include “Sability” by Ayra Starr at No. 14, “Who’s Your Guy” by Spyro at No. 27, and “Pheelz Like Summer” by Pheelz at No. 44.
