Dortmund give an update on Jude Bellingham future ahead of contract offer.
Sebastian Kehl, the sporting director of Borussia Dortmund, has insisted that the club wants to keep England international Jude Bellingham through this season despite the fact that there hasn’t been any communication from clubs interested in a move of the player.
Bellingham has maintained his meteoric ascent, on track to make 200 senior appearances for club and country before turning 20. He starred for England at the World Cup in Qatar, scoring ten goals for the first time in a season, and is even starting to lead Dortmund on occasion.
Bellingham held discussions with Dortmund about his future last month before departing for a winter training camp in Spain. The three primary teams in the running for Bellingham are Real Madrid, Liverpool, and Manchester City.
As previously stated by reports, Real Madrid and Manchester City are both pleased with the arguments they have made to the Beckham camp, but Liverpool is sure that they have the player’s preference. Nevertheless, Dortmund is asking for him to remain till at least 2024.
Before the World Cup, Bellingham had been debating his choices for a while, but he consistently made it known to Dortmund that he wouldn’t make a choice until 2023.

He is welcome to take his time, and the Bundesliga team has been patient with him.
“Jude feels very, very well at Borussia Dortmund. But there are no new talks, let alone requests for him,” Kehl explained to Sportbild this week.
“We need Jude to achieve our goals this season and we’re glad he’s focused so much on football and has no other issues on his mind at the moment.
“Jude still has two years of contract and is a very important part of this team. That’s why I naturally wish that he would play for BVB longer.”
According to reports, Dortmund are preparing a new contract offer for Bellingham that could see him become their highest-paid player of all time. Such a deal would also include a release clause that would likely then facilitate his departure in 2024.
Bellingham and his family will shortly hear from Dortmund about their offer, and more discussions are anticipated in March. The club is prepared to sell this year even though the teenager’s current contract doesn’t end until 2025 if he decides against signing the offer they have on the table.
Bellingham is anticipated to weigh all of his options, but as of right now, no negotiations have taken place about potential interest from Manchester United, Chelsea, Newcastle United, or Paris Saint-Germain. Manchester United was interested in the player when he left Birmingham for Dortmund in 2020.
