1da Banton discusses how he approached Omay Lay for collaboration but was turned down.
The fast-rising Nigerian singer, 1da Banton, has acknowledged that it has been challenging to record a song with Omah Lay, reaching out to him but getting snubbed.
The singer revealed this during an interview with Cool FM Lagos on-air personality Dotun.
He stated that he approached Omah Lay about collaborating and that the “Soso” crooner offered him an email address to submit his demo.

1da stated that he provided the audio file expecting a rapid reaction, but the Afropop star has been ignoring him ever since.
He said they go way back to their days in Port Harcourt, and even though they were not friends, they know each other from when they used to be based in Rivers state.
The “No Wahala” hitmaker stated that he followed up via text message on several occasions discussing the musical collaboration, but the ‘Understand‘ singer did not react, so he gave up.
