For their forthcoming halftime performance at the 2023 All-Star Game, the NBA is going global as the league has chosen Burna Boy, Tems, and Rema to lead the Afrobeats-themed show, which will take place this Sunday night (Feb. 19) in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Post Malone will open the event with a mix of tunes along with the three Afrobeats superstars. The National Anthem will be sung by Jewel, and Fast X actor Vin Diesel will introduce the players to the freshly selected NBA All-Stars.

LeBron James will also receive recognition from the league for shattering the scoring record two weeks ago.
The NBA hired DJ Khaled to perform at the halftime show last year, and he pulled out Mary J. Blige, Snoop Dogg, Lil Wayne, Migos, Lil Baby, and Gunna.
Prior to Sunday’s celebrations, the NBA will host a variety of events, including this Friday’s (Feb. 17) Ruffles Celebrity Game. This year’s event will feature performances by a wide range of musicians, including Janelle Monae, 21 Savage, Cordae, Ozuna, Kane Brown, Nicky Jam, and more.
J. Cole, Jack Harlow, Common, and Quavo are just a few of the musical artists that the NBA has attracted in the past to play at its celebrity game. The frontman for the Migos wowed in both of his outings. He recorded 19 points in 2018 and took home MVP honours.
The following year, he had a game-high of 27 points.
