Cassper replied that he would be travelling and would therefore be unable to attend AKA’s funeral and memorial ceremony.

He added by saying that no matter how others see his connection with Kiernan, the rapper said he still respects AKA’s contribution to South African hip hop and cherishes every wonderful moment they enjoyed together. He also stated he would have attended the burial if he had been in the country.
“Unfortunately I’ll be out of the country for work but if I was around I would’ve went. I would’ve went to the funeral too. No matter how you look at it, me and Kiernan shared a lot of great moments together and he contributed to my industry so I have to pay my respects.” Wrote Cassper.
