    Nigerian singer, Tems has reacted to winning a Grammy for her collaboration on “Wait for You ” with Future and Drake.

    Tems made Nigerians proud at the recently held 65th edition of the Grammy Award after she bagged an award.

    The song “Wait For U” received the prize for best melodic rap performance over the songs “Beautiful” by DJ Khaled with Future & SZA, “First Class” by Jack Harlow, “Die Hard” by Kendrick Lamar with Blxst & Amanda Reifer, and “Big Energy (Live)” by Latto.

    During an interview at the show, the singer revealed that the win made her feel incredible as she now works with people who were on her playlist years back.

    “It’s incredible you know I get to work with people that five years ago were on my playlist. you know, I was jamming to them, and now am working with them. It’s such a pleasure, I feel like this is just the beginning.

    When asked how the collaboration came to be and if she was notified of her song, “Higher” being sampled, she said;

    “It was literally a reach out, we love your song, we are using this as a sample, and I was like amazing, and yeah the song was interesting and I thought it was beautiful, the way it came together.”
