Moises Caicedo speaks out on Brighton future amid Chelsea interest.
A number of Premier League teams have expressed interest in Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo, but he has stated he is still just focused on the Seagulls.
The Ecuadorian international is much sought after by Chelsea and former Brighton manager Graham Potter, but an initial approach has already been turned down. According to insiders, Brighton has no desire to let Caicedo go.
The majority of the clubs interested in Caicedo are behind the Seagulls, who are sixth in the Premier League. The midfielder claimed that he is only focusing on Brighton because things are currently going rather well at his present club.
“I am focused on Brighton,” he told club media. “I am here, I’m playing every day. Things from outside don’t trouble me, nor does it take that focus away because I’m focussed only on here.

“I handle [the speculation] well. You hear rumours here and there, but I only try to be focused on the club where I am now, the club which opened the doors for me to be playing every week.”
Roberto De Zerbi, the manager of Brighton at the moment, was also thanked by Caicedo for his successful tactics since joining the AMEX.
“We are getting better all the time. There’s an evolution with every match – we all understand each other better. The coach is giving us that confidence to always do things well on the pitch,” Caicedo continued.
“Roberto [De Zerbi] has really helped me in bringing the ball out from the back and I think I have learned it well, I enjoy playing the ball out from the back. We do it well, coming out from deep positions. It is his preferred system and I’m enjoying it.”
