Black Sherif’s debut album pronounced the most streamed project on Boomplay Ghana.
Talented Ghanaian musician Black Sherif’s debut studio album, ‘The Villain I Never Was’ has been named the most streamed project on the audio streaming platform, Boomplay Ghana.
The project has amassed over 200 million streams since its debut on November 6, 2022, and currently holds the top spot on the charts.
The talented musician, born Mohammed Ismail Sherif, age 21, gained some online notoriety in 2020 with the releases of “Money,” “Cry For Me,” and “Destiny.” He then released “Money (remix),” “Adea Kye,” and “Ankonam,” which generated a ton of attention on Boomplay in many different nations.

In 2022, Black Sherif had a remarkable run. He performed brilliantly on the main stage of the 25th MOBO Awards at the OVO arena in Wembley, UK, and he was the successful headliner of his own gigs in both Ghana and the UK, respectively.
Black Sherif’s star has been on the rise ever since the release of his “First Sermon” freestyle in May of last year.
He has already received recognition across 2022, including the 3Music Award for Breakthrough Act of the Year.
