In 2023, there are some Nigerian artists whose albums fans are highly anticipating.
Everyone has new expectations for the coming year, and for the Nigerian music scene, that means new projects from some of our favourite performers.
Expectations for 2023 will be high given that 2022 was a momentous year in which established artists asserted their supremacy and emerging artists proved they had what it took to succeed.
It is anticipated that a number of artists, particularly those who did not drop projects the year before, will release new works in 2023.

Ruger
Ruger, the newest sensation of the Nigerian dancehall scene, had a successful year in 2022 thanks to the release of the deluxe edition of his “Second Wave” EP.
With the help of the project, he charmed fans with the hit singles “Dior” and “Girlfriend” before releasing “Asiwaju” to round off a brilliant year.
Ruger has already hinted that his debut album will be published in 2023, and fans are excited.
Olamide
Olamide’s failure to release a project in 2022 marked the second time since his debut in 2010. The YBNL leader spent 2022 helping his artist Asake establish an unheard-of level of dominance.
Olamide has stated that his upcoming album, which may potentially be his last for a while, will be released in 2023. The bittersweet album by the megastar will be eagerly anticipated by fans.
Oxlade
The Nigerian Pop singer may be preparing to release his debut album in 2023 after having a fantastic 2022 thanks to the global success of his smash single “Kulosa.”
Oxlade has been in the industry for a few years and has wowed audiences with his fascinating vocals and melodies.
Davido
Despite having to delay the release of his fourth album due to the death of his son, the African megastar made his presence felt by contributing to a number of top singles.
Davido is scheduled to make a comeback in 2023 with new music and arguably his most significant effort to date.
Brymo
Since the release of his debut album, Nigerian folk musician Brymo has continuously released new albums.
This trend is predicted to continue through 2023, as Brymo is extremely likely to release a new project as he expands his library and establishes himself as a distinctive artist.
