‘My So-called Biggest Inspirations Don’t Support Me’ — Omah Lay Laments

Nigerian singer-songwriter Stanley Omah Didia, known professionally as Omah Lay, has lamented how he’s not getting support from colleagues in the industry and his so-called biggest inspirations.

On January 11, 2023, the Soso hitmaker took to his social media page to reveal what seems to be a major shade to his colleagues in the music industry.

Omah Lay complains about not receiving help in the post. He continues by saying that not even people who he regards as his greatest inspirations differ from him.

He said: ‘Dem no dey gree support me because them dey fear haha! even my so-called biggest inspirations all of them join.’

In other news, Omah Lay, has reclaimed the top spot on the chart with his smash song ‘Soso‘ off his “Boy Alone” album five months after its release.

The smash song from Omah Lay’s album “Boy Alone” has re-peaked at number one five months after its debut, signalling that the “Soso” fever is back stronger and greater.

The popular song dethroned Ruger’s “Asiwaju” and Zinoleesky’s “Personal” to claim the top spot on the daily and real-time charts for Apple Music’s top 100 songs in Nigeria.

This is not shocking considering that there are over 41,000 videos titled “Soso” that are now trending on Tiktok. On the daily Spotify Nigeria chart, “Soso” has once again peaked in the top 5.

This is significant because the singer just revealed that the deluxe edition of “Boy Alone” would be released in 2023.

According to what we understand, the musician is getting ready to rerelease the record. However, we should expect some bonus tracks this time around
