Igbo not ripe to produce Nigeria’s president – Brymo insists

“Brymo Will Live To Regret This…” Fans Slam Brymo After Tribalistic Views against the South-East region Ahead Of Elections
Brymo, the stage name of Olawale Ashimi, has stated once more that the South-East is not ready to produce the next president of Nigeria.
The singer of “Oleku” is a supporter of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the APC’s (All Progressives Congress) presidential candidate.
According to Brymo, electing Peter Obi, the flagbearer of the Labour Party (LP) and a former governor of Anambra State, as president this year is not a good choice.
He claimed that before he can confidently run and win, Obi must first organise “his home front” since that is the only way to persuade other regions that Nigeria will be safe in the hands of an Igbo guy.
In a series of tweet responses to an LP supporter, Brymo said: “Don’t respect my intelligence nor choices… you are trying to not accept a resolve… argue more then… pls …. It is not prudent to elect him yet, he may have to vividly organise his home front to lead rest of us… an Igbo VP first maybe to test the waters with the region is safer!”
Maybe… yet I would not pick to near make sure of that … and since the south-west unites us all, Lagos for precision !!…come rain or shine… lol… BAT is … NVM!!.. there’ll be no anarchy.. and the east hurts enough for all to shake when power goes there, plus these matters.

He also said that the Igbo presidency will remain a pipe dream for as long as IPOB continue to demand secession.
He also tweeted that he would rather have an ‘ailing president’ than vote Obi.
However, the comments did not go down well with Nigerians as they labelled the musician a tribal bigot and “Igbophobic.”
When a publication reported that Brymo said an Igbo man is not ripe to become president, Brymo maintained that it is his position.
“Yeah I did … I said it !?..” he said.
