At his recent Lagos show, Asake pays tribute to the victims of the tragic Brixton concert stampede in the UK.

You may remember that mp3bullet.ng previously reported that Asake’s London performance had to be cut short because of a security breach. Some fans reportedly attempted to force their way inside the O2 Brixton without tickets.

The situation became out of hand, and security was unable to maintain control. Sadly, two people died—a mother of two named Rebecca Ikulomo and a 23-year-old British woman named Gabrielle Hutchinson.

Last night, while Asake was headlining the Flytime concert in Lagos, he stopped his show to pay tribute to the 2 lives that were lost during the stampede.

In a video making the rounds, the Joha crooner told the crowd to stay silent as he expressed remorse at the unfortunate demise of the two women in London.

He said: “Inside of me I feel pain for them. But may their souls rest in peace. Before we go on, I just want us to have a minute silence for them, for those who lost their lives in London, may God be with them.”
