Ghanaian female diva Wendy Shay has once again proven herself to be the queen of dancehall music, topping the charts as the “most streamed female artist” in 2022.

Earlier this year, the Ruff Town records signee Wendy Shay was the only female Ghanaian singer that be listed on the chart Boomplay during the weekly top 100 songs.

Wendy Shay has surpassed Gyakie and Diana Hamilton, who were ranked second and third on the recently revealed list, respectively. Wendy pulled 30.9 million plus streams with over 2 million listeners. Also, Boomplay recorded that Wendy Shay’s Survivor was streamed predominantly in Ghana, Nigeria, and Kenya.

Wendy Shay’s song Survivor was released in May 2022 and was the first song she released after she took a break from the music space. She later released her EP titled “Enigma” which features the popular ‘Habiba‘ song.
