France Goalkeeper, Hugo Lloris has revealed that their World Cup final defeat to Argentina was a passing of the torch.
After a dramatic 3-3 draw in regulation and extra time, France was defeated 4-2 on penalties.
Bayern Munich’s Kingsley Coman’s spot-kick was saved and Aurelien Tchouameni fired wide to ensure that Lionel Messi-led Argentina won the World Cup.

And the France captain felt the Qatar experience can help a young group in the coming years.
“I believe this tournament can be used for the future of the team,” Lloris told reporters.
“It was a bit of a handover between a generation arriving in the last phase of their career and a new generation led by Kylian.
He added: ‘He showed strong leadership and even more so in this final. We must keep this French team at the top.”
