-
Davido seems likely to make an appearance at the World Cup in Qatar.
According to reports, David Adeleke, better known by his stage name Davido, has been scheduled to play in the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Following the devastating death of his three-year-old son, Ifeanyi, in a pool accident, the DWM frontline act has remained out of the spotlight.
However, the award-winning artist, who also postponed what would have been the greatest headline event of his career, the “A.W.A.Y.” festival, which was scheduled to take place on November 18th, 2022 at the 21,000-capacity State Farm Arena in Atlanta, may be back on stage sooner than planned.
According to popular and reputable Hong Kong businessman, Stephen Hung, Davido has confirmed that he will be performing at the World Cup’s closing ceremony on December 18, 2022.
Taking to his Instagram, Stephen, who is the chairman of The Taipan Investment Group and vice chairman of Rio Entertainment Group, which operates the Rio Hotel & Casino in Macau, wrote:
“So happy my bro @davido confirmed he will be performing at the World Cup Qatar closing ceremony. Can’t wait to see him there”
