But you are broke in your same Lagos – Peter Okoye tackles trolls telling him to go back to Anambra
Peter Okoye, aka Mr. P, has stated that P-Square sold out their concert after it was reported that fans boycotted their play in Lagos.
The concert, which featured special performances by 2Baba and music producer Don Jazzy, was held by the 41-year-old and his twin brother Paul Okoye on Sunday, November 20 in Lagos.
However, it was rumoured that a number of supporters chose not to support the duo because of their ongoing mockery of Bola Tinubu, a former governor of Lagos State and presidential candidate for the All Progressive Congress (APC).
A Twitter user identified as Chigozirim Aliyu wrote:
No Body attended the Psquare show few days ago, even though they called it “Obidient” show. They are trying so hard to revive their dead music career but to no avail. They have used every means possible including EndSARS and the Obidient movement, yet e no work. Poor Twins.
Responding to the statement on Wednesday, Peter who is a staunch supporter of Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi wrote:
“You wish bleached albino.”

Now I understand why they call you an upcoming artist”
Firing back at the tweep, Peter Okoye bragged about the duo selling out stadiums and arenas. He retorted:
“And no upcoming will sell out stadiums and arenas! By the way, it’s artiste not artist. We are still on tour by the way and still at number 39th concert and about to announce the Europe tour! So don’t worry you go dey alright after election.”

In another post, he criticised individuals who accuse him of being an “ingrate” for succeeding in Lagos and have urged him to return to his native Anambra.
The musician said that individuals who teased him with the “making it in Lagos quip” are still poor in the same Lagos in a tweet that was posted on his account this morning. He questioned whether it was against the law for them to create in Lagos as well.
His post reads
”YOU MADE IT IN LAGOS! YOU GUYS MADE IT IN LAGOS! IF NOT FOR LAGOS! YOU ARE AN INGRATE! GO BACK TO ANAMBRA! YEN YEN YEN! BUT YOU ARE BROKE IN YOUR SAME LAGOS! ABI DEM FORBID YOU TO MAKE AM FOR LAGOS? GO AND LICK YOUR WOUNDS! AFTER ELECTIONS 2023 WE GO STILL DEY ALRIGHT!”
