Timaya Opens Up On Why He Doesn’t Want To Get Married

Timaya Discusses he has no interest in Marriage
Nigerian dancehall maestro, Inetimi Timaya Odon, popularly known as Timaya, has shared his thoughts on being married.
The seasoned performer, who is presently touring the media circuit in support of his most recent Afro-fusion tune “Sweet Us,” discussed marriage during one of the interviews.
Timaya claims that the younger generation, in contrast to the older generation, gets married for the wrong reasons, which he attributes to the large number of early marital breakdowns that are now commonplace in society.
Timaya stated in the interview that he is not ready to marry because it comes with a lot of responsibilities that one must be prepared for before embarking on it.

“I can’t speak for anybody cos I have never tried it. I am not even thinking about it. A lot of people dey do am right now, no be for the right reasons. Some people know no why dey wan even get married. The ability of knowing is the introduction of responsibility. If you marry, you must be responsible to take care of that marriage just like the way you are responsible fo yourself. You must be ready to stay married no be one thing you go just run out come inside. People no understand wetin marriage be sef. so there no need to waste, is like you go study course wey you no like to do fo school..no be say na general bad thing but people no dey respect to understand am so why you wan go follow them to practice am…””
