Kyle Walker of Manchester City has questioned Bukayo Saka of Arsenal during a meeting of England stars because Saka had issued Walker a joke warning about the Premier League title race.
The England World Cup team gathered on Monday at St. George’s Park, where they train, in preparation for their journey to Qatar on Tuesday.
It implies that those chosen will have to put aside their problems with their clubs in order to band together for their nation, especially Saka of Arsenal and Walker of Man City, whose teams are vying for the Premier League title.
The league title fight appears to be between the Gunners and the Citizens heading into the World Cup break, with Arsenal increasing their lead over Pep Guardiola’s team to five points last weekend.
As a result of City’s shocking loss to Brentford at home and Arsenal’s victory against Wolves, the north London club will hold the top spot at Christmas for the first time since 2007.

Arsenal’s success is unexpected, with the Gunners winning 12 of their 14 matches so far, beating the likes of Liverpool, Tottenham and Chelsea along the way.
City will be hoping to reel in their rivals when the league campaign resumes, though that will be tough if Arsenal maintains their great form, and Walker couldn’t help but jest with Saka about the matter.
Cameras at St. George’s Park captured the moment that the England players met up, with Walker asking Saka:
‘Are you guys [Arsenal] going to stop winning?’
The Arsenal star laughed and replied:
‘Don’t worry about that now bro! Are you feeling good?’
Walker was selected by England even though he was still recovering from a groin injury he sustained in October. Walker won’t likely be ready for this Monday’s tournament opener against Iran, but he should play later on.
