Chelsea confirms the appointment of new transfer guru Paul Winstanley.
As the new ownership of Chelsea continues to restructure the team, Paul Winstanley has been appointed as Director of Global Talent and Transfers.
After being chosen by Blues co-owners Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali for their team of recruitment specialists to sign players for the future, Winstanley leaves Brighton, where he served as head of recruitment.
Winstanley is regarded by Chelsea as a multifaceted recruiter, and they like his previous experience working with Graham Potter and his team.
A club statement read: “Winstanley arrives at Stamford Bridge after eight years with Brighton & Hove Albion, initially as talent identification manager and then as head of recruitment. Winstanley played a major role as Brighton built a reputation for finding and developing talent.
