Wizkid says listening to good young artistes reminds him of his early days

Wizkid explains why he enjoys listening to emerging artists.
Ayodeji Balogun, better known by his stage as Wizkid, has expressed his opinions regarding the young, rapidly growing artists in the industry.
He claimed that he finds it intriguing whenever he hears up-and-coming artists producing quality songs and implementing unique sounds.
A few of the new talents reshaping the music industry are singers like Asake, Bella Shmurda, and Fireboy DML.
Wizkid said that listening to them sing makes him think of his earlier years when he was just getting started.
He said; “Every time I hear a new, young artist in Nigeria making good music or doing something fresh, it sort of reminds me of myself back when I first started.”
Big Wiz further said that he loves music so much because it keeps him going. He added that there is nothing he loves more than music.
The Starboy also talked about how the African music industry is filled with talented artists, songwriters, and producers that will shake the world.

The Joro hitmaker noted that he does not think he will ever get tired of the path he chose for himself.
Wizkid said; “The music keeps me going, honestly. There isn’t anything I love more than making music. I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of doing it. I’ve been doing this for years. Traveling the world, doing shows, shoots, appearances, everything. So, I’m used to it.”
“There are so many incredible musicians, artists, producers, engineers, instrumentalists from Africa. We have it all with world class talent and drive. There is going to be more music from Africa that’s going to make big waves around the world”.
