Nipsey Hussle
Rapper Nipsey Hussle was fatally shot outside his clothes store by a man who was angry over a conversation about snitching, a prosecutor told jurors on the first day of a protracted murder trial.
Both Eric Holder and Nipsey Hussle (real name Ermias Asghedom) were wannabe rappers who grew up in the same Los Angeles neighbourhood and belonged to the Rollin’ 60s gang. On March 31, 2019, the 29-year-old Holder shot and murdered the 33-year-old Hussle after Hussle calmly informed Holder that he was becoming known as a “snitch.”
Pop Smoke
Pop Smoke, a 20-year-old New York rapper, was killed in February 2020 in Los Angeles by four teenagers who drove up to his residence in an attempted robbery.
Pop, real name Bashar Jackson, was shot to death by a 15-year-old who was one of the five people detained in connection with the rapper’s murder, according to additional evidence from a detective working the case.
The day before he was assassinated, Jackson received an Amiri gift bag. His manager called him after he shared a picture of the gift bag which had his address on Instagram and he was advised to take it off, but it was already too late.
XXXTentacion
On June 18, 2018, while at Riva’s MotorSports in Pompano Beach, Florida, the 20-year-old XXXTentacion (born Jahseh Dwayne Onfroy) was robbed and fatally murdered in broad public. On Thursday during a hearing, a CCTV film was shown for the first time at Broward County Court.
It showed the rapper entering the dealership closely followed by two men who bought masks before leaving. A dark-coloured Dodge Journey 4×4 blocks the rapper’s departure as he gets back into his £115,000 BMW and prepares to leave the parking lot.
Two masked males can be seen in video footage sprinting toward him after getting out of the car’s passenger side doors. After a tussle, the 20-year-old is fatally shot at close range.
The men fled the scene with a Louis Vuitton bag containing $50,000 in cash, police said.
King Von
In 2020, Chicago rapper King Von was murdered in a shooting outside an Atlanta nightclub. The incident took place following the 26-year-record old’s release party for “Welcome to O’Block,” a reference to the South Side neighbourhood around 64th Street and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive where he was raised. King Von, whose true name is Dayvon Bennett, was sent to a local hospital, where he passed away.
Young Dolph
Young Dolph, real name Adolph Robert Thornton Jr., was shot and killed in his hometown of South Memphis’ Makeda’s Cookies in 2021 while purchasing cookies. Dolph was in Memphis for his annual Thanksgiving gift-giving event. The artist, who resides primarily in Atlanta, had plans to distribute turkeys in his former neighbourhood.
Sidhu Moose Wala
Sidhu Moose Wala, a Punjabi rapper-turned-politician who is famous with introducing rap to rural areas, was fatally shot on May 29, 2022 after being ambushed by unknown assailants in his vehicle. He had 19 bullet wounds on his body, and the post-mortem revealed that he passed away 15 minutes after being shot. At the time, police stated that “inter-gang rivalry” was probably what caused the homicide.
PnB Rock
Rakim Hasheem Allen, better known by his stage as PnB Rock, was tragically murdered on September 12 while eating lunch with his fiancée at Los Angeles legendary restaurant Roscoe’s Chicken and Waffles. Witnesses said that after shooting PnB several times, the mysterious shooter stole his jewels and Rolex watch.

Takeoff
28 year-old rapper, Takeoff, who was one-third of the platinum-selling rap group Migos, was shot and killed early Tuesday, 1st of November, 2022 in Houston, Texas.
The 28-year-old rapper, real name Kirshnik Khari Ball, was fatally shot at a bowling alley in Houston where he and Quavo were playing dice around 2.30am; Takeoff was pronounced dead at the scene. Two other people on the premises were shot and taken to hospital while Quavo was unharmed.
Houston police say they responded to the scene of a shooting in downtown Houston at a bowling and pool hall around 2:30 a.m. local time. One person was found dead, according to a tweet from the department.
Born in Lawrenceville, Georgia, Takeoff began performing with his uncle and fellow rapper Quavo, along with Offset, as Migos in 2008. The trio found fame with their 2013 single, “Versace.”
