Erik ten Hag and Cristiano Ronaldo set for a crucial meeting on Today.
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is set to meet with Cristiano Ronaldo on Tuesday morning to make sure he is ready to return to the squad for upcoming matches after his Tottenham tantrum.
Ronaldo refused to come on as a substitute in the Premier League win over Spurs, disappearing down the Old Trafford tunnel before the game had even ended.
Ten Hag stated that the 37-year-old was penalized by being left out of the squad for the match against Chelsea on Saturday, which ended 1-1 at Stamford Bridge, for turning down the opportunity to enter the game.

The striker will meet with Ten Hag on Tuesday to ensure that he has realized his error and is prepared to return. Ronaldo’s suspension is only expected to last one game.
United play Sheriff Tiraspol in the Europa League at Old Trafford on Thursday, and Ronaldo might return to the squad, or perhaps start, provided he shows remorse and understanding.
At least until January, when he might depart the club if they can find a successor, Ten Hag and the United administration are hopeful that everything will go well and Ronaldo will be available again.
