These are the significance of Wande Coal’s first album on DSP (digital streaming platforms)

According to Wande Coal, his 2009 debut album “Mushin 2 Mo’hit” is now accessible on music streaming services, arguably one of the best debut albums of all time in the history of Nigerian music.

Most importantly, a debut album means an artiste’s first-ever appearance or performance in a body of work.

However, Nigerian has witnessed a coarse amount of standard albums over the past 2 decades, the metrics will be comfortable relying on the impacts of a debut album on the mainstream.

Also, churns of Nigerian debut albums created an indelibly print in the music industry, cementing different genres on the records.

On Friday, October 21, 2022, multi-award-winning artist Wande Coal announced via his Twitter account that his debut album, “Mushin 2 Mo’hits,” is now accessible on streaming services.

Fans were thrilled to hear the news because they had been calling for the album’s streaming availability for years.

While Wande Coal or Don Jazzy, the owner of the now-defunct Mo’hits album, have declined to comment on the situation, it’s likely because of legal snags between the parties.

Wande Coal’s debut album, “Mushin 2 Mo’hits,” was published on April 12th, 2009, by Mo’hits Record, the label where he began his brilliant career.

The 16-track album produced a number of successes, including the widely known “Bumper 2 Bumper,” “You Bad,” “Say Na Like This,” “Banana,” “Taboo,” “Olulufe,” and “Ten Ten.”

This is Wande Coal‘s debut studio album and was officially released and launched on April 12, 2009, under then Mo’ Hits Records now Mavin Records, featuring artists including D’banj, Dr SID, D’Prince, and K-Switch

The tracks on the album are still in demand 13 years after it was released, and it is regarded by reviewers as the best Afrobeats debut album ever made.

At the 2010 Headies Honors, Wande Coal received 5 awards for “Mushin 2 Mo’hits.” In what was a record-breaking night, the album won Album of the Year, Song of the Year, R&B/Pop Album of the Year, and Pop Single of the Year, and Wande Coal was named Artist of the Year.
