Rihanna to headline Super Bowl Halftime show
Rihanna will return to the stage for the Super Bowl halftime show in February, Apple Music, the major sponsor of the event, which draws massive audiences each year, announced on Sunday.
On Sunday, September 25, 2022, the great singer announced the news on her official Twitter account. She posted a photo of her tattooed arm clutching a football, and it earned over 700,000 likes in the first 20 minutes.
“IT’S ON. @rihanna will take the stage for the first-ever Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show on 2.12.23,” Apple Music said in a tweet featuring a photo of the “Umbrella” and “Diamonds” singer’s raised hand holding a football.
This announcement is coming three years after she turned down the invite to perform at the event in 2019 which was ultimately headlined by Maroon 5. She rejected the place because of how Colin Kaepernick was treated during that time.
The suit was withdrawn two years after Kaepernick and the NFL reached a confidential settlement. He still remains unsigned.

The Barbadian-born Robyn Rihanna Fenty has in recent years put music aside, at least publicly, to focus on her cosmetics brand Fenty Beauty.
The entertainment and fashion mogul’s Super Bowl performance will come after an immaculately choreographed 2022 halftime show including rap icons such as Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, and Eminem.
The Weeknd, a Canadian performer, headlined the 2021 halftime show, whereas Jennifer Lopez and Shakira performed the year before.
Since 2019, Roc Nation, which New York rapper-turned-businessman Jay Z established, has been in charge of producing the halftime performance.
